To install Angular on your local system, you need the following:

Angular requires a current, active LTS or maintenance LTS version of Node.js and NPM.
Go to node.js website and download : https://nodejs.org/en/
After the successful installation, run below command in command prompt.
Install Angular CLI
Angular provides many packages and libraries for application development. You can install packages and libraries required for your application using Angular CLI. Angular CLI is also used to generate, build, run, and deploy Angular application.
To install the Angular CLI globally using NPM. open a terminal window and run the following command:
>npm install -g @angular/cli
To create a new workspace and initial starter app:
Run the CLI command ng new and provide the name my-application , as shown here:
>ng new my-application >cd my-application >ng serve
